The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires all hotels and motels to make their facilities equally accessible to those with physical disabilities. For deaf and hard of hearing guests, hotels and motels are required to provide rooms equipped with visual notification devices, telephone amplifiers and TDDs (Telecommunication Devices for the Deaf).
